I AM THE WELL 4
P. 218-225 Combined class summaries 11/20 & 11/27
This section gets down to the real nitty-gritty of the choices that are involved in raising our vibration and keeping it there (as best we can).
I believe that we often forget that when resistance arrises in whatever form that the resistance is really the coming to the surface of something that needs to be healed or released. It is so easy to react against those things or to judge ourselves thinking there must be something wrong. There is not anything wrong; the resistance is simply a woundeddness, a behavior pattern, thought or idea that needs healing or release.
So when resistance shows up we are encourage to welcome it rather than to fight it or to judge it:
“So understand, everybody, when you encounter resistance through this work, it is actually a blessing and a real indication that you are moving forward. Obstacles come up when it is time to overcome them, and fear will have its way when fear is about to be released.”
The guides suggest, “Ask the question, ‘What does your experience look like when you are in divine love and when you are becoming divine Love?’” What a great question, because you notice when we ask to question like that, you have to put your yourself in that place of divine love. If you want to push it a little further, then you can ask yourself “What would it be like if I were there all the time?”
As the book suggests also we are not creating a new self here, we are simply coming into the awareness of who we truly are. We have all come across the illustration of the eagle being raised by chickens. Even though the eagle thinks it's a chicken that cannot take away from its true nature. No matter what it does, no matter what it thinks, it is still an eagle. But for most of us, we find ourselves in denial of our true gifts and our true nature and so the abilities that are given to us through our connection with the divine are many times either denied or ignored because we simply cannot imagine ourselves having that or doing that.
We read it in so many spiritual books and it is repeated quite often the words of Jesus when he spoke, Greater things than this shall you do. And we know that and we say that and it sounds wonderful but the truth is if we really believe that hello world would be a tremendously different place. (If we really believed that we would be acting out of that belief.
And so we are encouraged to put no limits on ourselves, to never settle for what we might think is the spiritual end of things. To be continually open and expanding in the love that we are. There are no limits.
And because there are no limits as the book says “this is not selfish work.” Everyone and everything is touched by the work you do. It cannot be any other way. And then we are offered a bit of encouragement reminder that we are never alone in this process.
“We will work with you and we will assist you in developing your own abilities as you move forward.”
The guides then begin to take us into an area that is not usually addressed within the context of spirituality—the body and also about sexuality.
Often in the past, the body was looked upon as being a hindrance or even sometimes something evil. Even St. Francis referred to his body has “poor brother ass.”
Now here we are being asked to honor the body as being our the vehicle here on earth and as our vehicle, it is also teacher. We are not about to deny our bodies or to look at then as something we are just dragging around. Interestingly enough the body probably contains much more wisdom within itself then our ego. It is fine when ego tells us that we are hungry, but is not a great idea to allow the ego to plan the menu.
It is suggested that with this work you might be times need to become more grounded within our bodies, and you can decide that for yourself. When you are experiencing yourself as being spacey or overly lethargic you might want to take a couple deep breaths and perhaps eat something, go outside, walk, touch the earth. These are all ways reconnecting to our physical vehicle.
And then the book centers around of sexuality which is hardly ever talked about in spiritual circles. It is obviously one of the more powerful instincts we have and as such takes up a lot of focus and energy.
I found it quite interesting that the discussion on sexuality in some ways was not terribly different from some ideas I heard long ago. The biggest difference however, was that instead of focusing on sin, the guides were focusing on energy, in frequency, vibration.
So we can look at this in many different ways: one is that if desire or a satisfying desire is our primary motive then we are most likely working out of lower frequency of thought and action. If we find ourselves thinking about or actually using another person as an object then that is also going to lower our frequency.* So another key idea with all of this, as we have looked at so many times before is awareness. Spirituality is a continue resolve to practice Awareness.
We have created gobs and gobs of guilt around sexuality I'm also around the body we are ass now to release it is useless it Is worse than useless it taps you dreams you have energy drains your spirit strange you have life
“Your investment in guilt is something you call to you as a way of self-punishment for behavior real or imagined. And you are doing this to yourself because in that moment you believe you should be punished. And punishment, we will say, always arrives when one seeks it. But we will tell you this: You are not the Creator in this aspect. And for you to be in self-punishment and blame of the self again means you have changed your frequency. You do not need to go there, you do not need to stay there, and we can release it with you.
“I am Word now through this choice to release myself from all guilt that is connected to issues of the body. I am now choosing to release all guilt that is connected to any behavior connected to other human beings. I am choosing now to release all guilt based on any assessment of myself based in cultural norms that I have not
“adhered to or held to myself in wise ways. I am now choosing to release the guilt that has bound me to fear. I am Word through this intention. Word I am Word.”
“I give thanks to my own Higher Self for permitting me the ability to be in receipt of this divine information. And I am choosing now to learn, as I need to in order to acclimate to the new frequency. I am Word through this intention. Word I am Word.”
*Well, the ego asks, “suppose it is OK with the other person that you use him/her as a na object?” Remember we are not talking abut sin here, we are talking high and low vibration. If it is OK with another person that they be “used” first of all it is not going to raise our vibration by doing so, and it is certainly not loving to contribute to the lower vibration of another.
