THE ANSWER 7
We continue with the questions. I thought we had completed the question on p. 355, however I was informed that we did not, when I read it over I was pretty sure that we did so we are to begin with p. 356 and “What will become of this planet?
The book makes a distinction between the planet, in other words this physical material object that we live on, and what is sometimes referred to as planetary consciousness which is the consciousness of all beings who occupy this space. Planet Earth itself is a living entity that knows how to take care of itself, however it is also subject to the whims and sometimes negativity of those of us who occupy the space. That's unfortunate because as we mentioned last week, as a species as a race, we have misinterpreted the idea of stewardship. We assume that if I am given charge over something that I can do anything I want with it. Which is really ridiculous if you look at it— giving us children at doesn't mean we can do anything we want, but in a fundamentalist circles stewardship is looked upon as being just that. In reality what stewardship means is that we are we are given responsibility for this planet, and we have the continuing choice to take care of it appropriately or not.
We are reminded that we are in ascension; we are rising, our consciousness is rising. Sometimes that is difficult to see, but let us take it as a look at a particular piece of awareness that was not here until recently— our whole idea of ecology, of literally taking care of the earth, was not even part of our consciousness perhaps hundred or a hundred fifty years ago. Today it is almost impossible to deny. Using that as an example, there is certainly not only a raising of the consciousness, but a raising of the vibration as we take charge of caring for this home that we have been given.
It is interesting that ehe guides to speak of telepathy, again another thing that we have misunderstood. It is not about reading someone's mind so much as it is about the realization that we are all joined together. When telepathy exists between beings, there can be nothing dishonest, there can be nothing hidden. Wouldn't that be an interesting place for human beings to be. Nothing could be hidden; nothing could be lied about. It would almost be impossible not to work as one.
“What is the new dawn that is being spoken up?” Jesus, in the book of Revelations talks about “creating a new heaven and a new earth.” Much of that has to do with creating new ideas about what heaven and earth are truly like. One of the things I would like to suggest is that heaven and earth are not separate entities, that heaven and earth or the new concept of Heaven and Earth places much more emphasis on those two being similar rows in different.
The new dawn is a new awakening but as the book puts it it is not always a comfortable one and does not necessarily follow the laws of logic or reason. If you were to determine that you would like to refurnish your home, most of us would go about that process by getting rid of the old furniture first, cleaning up the place making sure all the space was clean and secure and then move in the new stuff in. Well it doesn't happen that way. As the old stuff is being removed, the new stuff is also being brought in, we are not necessarily given the time we need or want to mentally adjust, and yet that's the way it is happening. One of our teachers likes to point out when it's up it's on its way out. Not always the most comfortable or easiest situations. It is reflective of some of the chaos that occurs within transformation, even the raising a vibration and consciousness.
“What about war we are asked?” Good question. The intellect, the thinking mind sees war and sees war and conflict as being a confirmation of that which exists and probably always will exist. As a race we have lived with this for a long, long time and have lived with it for so long then we have come to believe that there will always be such a thing as war. Thus we will continually what we consider to be the truth of war or conflict.
A Course in Miracles suggests continually “I could see peace instead of this.” Again, we are not working with the intellect or the physical senses. We are not working with an intellectual concept. We are working with a deeper truth that exist within all of us. I do not believe any of us would be here doing this work together unless we held very closely with the belief that there is such a thing as a a possibility of a a world without war. We might not even be conscious of this aspect of ourselves, and yet we are not just drawn to a class like this to reinforce this idea although certainly that's part of it. We are drawn to a group or gathering such as this because there is an aspect of the self that truly believes not only is there a possibility of a world without war, but that on a level of perception, a higher level of perception higher level of vibration war does not and cannot exist.
I could not help but think of John Lennon's wonderful song Imagine, and please know what he is doing here. It's not Disneyland! What he is doing is bypassing the intellect with all of its objections and all of its prior knowing and thinking that there is such a thing called war. He is using another or an inner aspect of knowing called the imagination which goes beyond and past the intellect, sometimes perhaps in illogical ways, and sees things very differently than the mind or the intellect might have seen them. That wonderful prayer on page 358. I am now choosing to see the inherent peace in this place on the earth. I am were through all that I see before me.
I also could not help be reminded of what is sometimes referred to as the Christmas Truce of 1916. Where the soldiers, the German soldiers on one side and the British soldiers on the other, put down their weapons on Christmas eve or early Christmas morning and met one another in no man’s land, exchanged stories, cigarettes, chocolates, even played a pick up game of soccer. And this happened in many places along the lines of battle— that there were men who refused, even for a short amount of time, to be locked in this place of separateness. I would encourage you to perhaps Google the event and see what information you can get. It is a marvelously moving story. Now the mind will object that that kind of situation can never happen here in this world today, and yet I'm sure back then there were minds who said that couldn't happen there either. Is a world of peace a possibility? As we believe in that, we create it.
What happens when I do this when I call for the word and all that I see before me? What I do is I create a different and a deeper reality, not just wishful thinking, but the truth of the matter here and now. Even if it is for a split second, when I become lost in the sense of loving, this open heartedness, at that moment, the universe, the human race is healed. We also begin to realize that we are working together and as we realize this more and more deeply it becomes more and more of a reality.
“When we ask you this, we want you think for a moment before saying “Yes.” But if you wish to, you can allow your energy frequency to be in service to the other readers of this text who may require support. And all you have to do is say, “Yes.”
“Yes, I am willing to allow myself to support others in their conscious awareness and in the lifting of their frequency.”
And if you say, “Yes,” then others can then call on you.
“I am now calling on the energies of those who are working with this text in light to support me on your journey. Word I am Word,”
The guides end this chapter by suggesting again that when we want or desire it, we ask for help. Help does not arise unless we ask for it. Now that is not a command that God puts on the process, it is simply a matter of fact that in order for me to be able to receive help, I must be open to it. It is the asking that opens me to receiving what is already here. God’s love is already here; the guidance of all of these spiritual beings is already here. For me to be open to that, I need to ask, I need to knock, I need to seek. In the book I Am Word, the guides suggested that whenever we want or need help from these beings who are eager to help us along the path, all we have to do is say the word welcome.
I give thanks.
