HEALING AND THE CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS 6

HEALING AND THE CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS 6

The lesson begins with affirming some information about what the book refers to as “knowing” or “being in your knowing.” This is not the same as information that comes to us through our senses and is processed by our intellect. Certainly, that is a way of knowing, but the kind of knowing we are speaking of here is more of the knowing of the heart. I might go beyond reasoning and logic, and it is a reflection of being in touch with the deeper truth. For example, “How do you know you are loved?” Most of us would answer that question by saying, “Well I feel it or I just know it.” The feelings that are spoken of here are not the ordinary emotions of our feeling self, it is more of an internal sense that goes beyond definition that allows us to be aware of this truth. We are also encouraged not totally depend upon that “feeling” because many times it can become confused with human emotion. The kind of knowing we are speaking of here goes beyond feeling and goes beyond the intellect. Once known you can never be unknown.

It was suggested that you bring into your consciousness experiences of
knowing are essentially unshakable. And to have those experiences available to bring into your mind at times of doubt what distraction. We all have some of these. Our experience, let us say, of being loved might only seem to exist for a split second in linear time, but those moments of knowing really happen outside of time. They are timeless. And as what was said above when you know, when you have an experience of knowing, it cannot be taken away.

It is sometimes confusing when we speak of entering a different dimension or a higher vibration because we are being challenged to go beyond what we ordinarily know and experience. We live in a world of three-dimensional thinking and because that is our every day mode of understanding, we inadvertently accept that as our only reality. We have already explored using the metaphor of healing how we can very easily transcend the dimensions of time and space. This is not magical thinking; it is quite simple although it might appear to be extraordinary.

An example was used in class from a wonderful saying by Thich Nhat Hanh, when he suggested, “When you are doing the dishes imagine that each dish is a little baby Buddha.” Just imagine yourself doing that. You are taking a rather mundane chore or piece of human experience, and turning it into a sacred event. You are creating a whole new dimension of experience by doing that. You're transcending the idea that a particular task is distasteful and transforming it into an act of joy and holiness. That is a very simple example, and yet it exemplifies a powerful truth. By shifting your awareness, you create a whole new dimension of experience.

You will also notice that you were not denying, in any way, this experience of the external world. You are simply holding this experience in a very different way. Either way you go in your interaction with the experience is your choice period

We also just began to touch on the area of setting an agenda for a particular lifetime. That would include all of the people we have chosen to interact with.

A word of caution, just because someone shows up in our life and we look upon them as a teacher because there is a lesson here for us, does not necessarily mean that we have to keep this person around for the rest of our lives. In fact, in some cases we have created some human encounters so that we can realize we don't need them.

None of us will probably be totally clear on all of the lessons and human encounters we have in this lifetime. It is not up to us to interpret or to analyze every life situation. What involves our choice more than anything else is how we choose to handle or how we choose to interact with those people and circumstances of our creation. I can look at them as a burden, as a mistake, or as something wrong with me, or I can hold the circumstances of life in the most loving way possible and pray that I might learn what I need to learn.

“Each one of you in this lifetime has made engagements with other people that you have mutually agreed upon that were actually made prior to incarnation. This book, in fact, was contracted prior to Paul’s inhabiting this form. He knew it, but he didn’t know it for real until it started coming through; then it was a memory of understanding and the pieces of the puzzle made sense. You each have things in your life like this, and you also have engagements with others that you have brokered on a higher level. Some of these have been in business, some of them have been in love, and some of them have been the most painful experiences that you have undertaken. If you understand, first of all, that when you come here you come here to learn, and when you come here you have unfinished business from previous incarnations, you can quite simply begin to understand that as you move through this life, you will have recurrent patterns and relationships that are provocative and are meant, really simply, to move you out of your comfort zone and into a new level of awareness.”

We will continue to explore this.

Peace!
