HEALING AND THE CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS 7
p.325-326
We had a lively discussion this class. I would suggest checking out the audio version to get a more complete picture.
Most of our discussion the idea of reincarnation. This is always intriguing subject which is open to much speculation and drama. I believe that the major reason why this subject was introduced was to emphasize that we are on a spiritual path of our own making. Before we incarnated this lifetime, we have decided the lessons that we are to learn. Usually further exploration into other lifetimes is much more dramatic and ego-based rather than helpful. I am not saying that is true for everyone, but it is so easy to get caught up in creating new stories that simply distract us from the necessary work we came here to do.
Simply put the soul’s decided mission in any particular lifetime is to clean up some stuff we might call karma, to heal ourselves and others, to grow and to stretch in certain areas of life, and to joyfully play as we evolve and contribute to the expansion of lLove and Oneness.
The Buddhist teacher Alan Watts created a wonderful metaphor:
Imagine God likes to play hide and seek, but since there is only one, he/she must invent all sorts of disguises to make the game interesting. So when the disguise might be Hitler or Mother Theresa or Stalin or Gandhi or Joe or Frank or Sue, and all of these beings are playing out their roles and, more often than not, they become confused and think their disguise is the truth of who they are.
But then God blows the whistle and says “Ally Ally in free” and everybody drops their disguises and their masks and go goes running back into the One.
And then the cards are shuffle again for new game of hide and seek.
